Podcasts in the Classroom

I have recently fallen in love with Podcasts . . . You know . . .  that (widely ignored) app on your phone that looks like this:

So here’s a list of some of my favorite podcats/episodes that could have great potential in the classroom:

Summary in 6 words: HIV, SARS, Ebola, Cholera, Influenza, and Zombies.

Where to use it: Science, Biology, and ELA

Summary in 6 words: Bill Nye, science guy, befriends Monsanto.

Where to use it: Science, Biology

Summary in 6 words: Connecting Residential schools  & Pop-Warner Football

Where to use it: History/Social Studies/Physical Education/Indigenous Education

Summary in 6 words- How hunters may support animal conservation.

Where to use it: Science, Biology, Environmental and Social Studies

Summary in 6 words: Why we give numbers “human” qualities.

Where to use it: Math,Psychology
