My third (and probably final) read of winter break was the historical fiction book written by Esi Edugyan. I loved the spiralling story of escape and travel that explores the concept of freedom. But I didn’t love the unresolved ending. . . It’s not that I expect a “happily every after”, but at the very least really want to know what happened to that octopus.
